Welcome to the Pierce Law Library : Teaching Legal Information Literacy to Prepare Practice Ready Legal Professionals
Pierce Law is one of the only law schools in the nation to implement a legal Information Literacy Plan approved by the Faculty that includes:
- a portfolio of legal information literacy courses from the first year until graduation
- Librarian information literacy sessions "bolted" onto substantive courses
- Legal Information Literacy problems "embedded" into courses by Faculty
- Extra-curricula legal information literacy presentations
The Library web is your online guide to the Pierce Law Library’s policies, staff, services and resources. Pierce Law librarians develop and maintain a collection of relevant
- microform and
- electronic resources.
We also instruct and assist patrons
- in effective search strategy and methodology and
- by providing reference and interlibrary loan service.
The library welcomes
- alumni/ae
- patrons using the Federal Depository collection
- students and faculty from area colleges and universities with whom the library has reciprocal agreements, and
- attorney members
- visting scholars
